Roll like a Ball with a ball

Updated: Jul 14, 2022

Everyone can roll but the question is with what do you do it. This Pilates Marwork exercise intends to massage the spine along activating the "Powerhouse". The goal is to roll as a one piece, avoiding the domino effect of head first, legs later skipping the center.

Here is a short video that might help to find an active C curve in your spine and engage your center while you roll. When you find the rhythm of up and down in this particular movement is very enjoyable. You'll start to notice that requires less effort and actually relieves tension.

If you have back or neck problems, stick with supported roll back against the ball and pass on the full rolling exercises. This exercise is not recommended for anyone with high blood pressure, low blood pressure, glaucoma, osteoporosis, or herniated disc. If you have any question or tried and was useful, your comment is well received.
